DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., October 3, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Univar Solutions LLC (“Univar Solutions” or the “Company”), a leading global provider of solutions for users of specialty ingredients and chemicals, has taken a major step forward in its efforts to support sustainable practices and create impact through its supply. For the first time, Univar Solutions has set a goal to reduce Scope 3 emissions and launched EcoScope, its supplier collaboration program aimed at reducing Scope 3 emissions. In April, Univar Solutions became a member of Together for Sustainability (TfS). , a joint initiative of chemical companies focused on developing and harmonizing sustainable practices in the supply chain of the chemical industry.

Alexa Colingeneral counsel, corporate secretary, and senior ESG leader at Univar Solutions, helps lead the Company’s efforts to meet its environmental commitments. In 2023, Univar Solutions’ global production of Scope 1 and 2 decreased by 19.9 percent from its baseline, marking a significant achievement. Colin announced a new target to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 15 percent by 2030, as part of Univar Solutions’ commitment to zero emissions across all scopes by 2050.

By joining forces with 52 other chemical and ingredient manufacturers and suppliers to jointly drive change and achieve sustainability goals, TfS membership will allow Univar Solutions to enhance data sharing and supply chain development in key areas of sustainability, including significant reductions of value chain production and the chemical industry.
